11 Months!

Karlee turned 11 months last Tuesday. She has learned all kinds of new things lately. She is really good at clapping and waving hi and bye. She has also started to copy things we do. For about the last week she has been able to stand on her own without holding on to anything.

Karlee took her first step a couple of weeks ago and just the last couple of days she has really been walking! She is still practicing but it won't be long before she is crusing around everywhere. She is so fun to be around right now but it makes me sad that our little girl isn't going to be a baby much longer.

Missouri Trip

Karlee and I just spent a week in Missouri. We stayed really busy and had a lot of fun with my family.

Karlee got spoiled like crazy. Someone was always holding her, playing with her, or giving her some kind of treat.

We took Karlee to the St. Louis Zoo. It was a lot of fun and she loved all the animals. During this trip Karlee started saying, wuz tat (what's that). I think she has heard everyone saying it so many times that she picked it up. Every animal we saw she kept asking, what's that?

My sister Ashley just finished nursing school. We went to her pinning ceremony.

Then we went to her graduation.

Karlee got to go to the park a few different times.

We took Karlee swimming a couple of times. She loved it!

The day after Ashley's graduation we had my brother Zach's high school graduation. Aubrey and I were so glad we could come but we were all graduationed out by the end. We had a fun trip and Karlee did great the whole time.

It's getting HOT!

The weather has been rather warm lately and it is not even summer yet. On Saturday we filled up Karlee's little pool so she could stay cool from the heat.

She was more interested in picking grass then swimming but she still had fun.

She caught a little ladybug and was trying to eat it.

She was too cute in her swimsuit from Grandma V. Her diaper was so full it was pulling down her suit.

Happy Birthday Jeff!

Jeff's birthday was on Monday. It wasn't anything too exciting but I think he had a good day. After work Karlee helped him open his presents.


About a month and a half ago Jeff lost his wedding ring. He never takes it off so we could not figure out what happened to it. We were just glad it was his and not mine. I didn't think we would ever find it so I bought him a new ring for his birthday. Sure enough the day before his birthday I found his ring. Now he has 2 wedding rings!

Here he is about to blow out ALL those candles. We gave Karlee a little cake and she loved it!

Happy Birthdy to ME!

Yesterday was my birthday! I had a great day! I only asked Karlee for one thing...to sleep in for mommy. Well, she was up at 5:30 so I got to start my birthday nice and early! The little girl I tutor got me this cupcake and balloon.

Karlee helped me open my presents that my sisters sent!

I got lots of calls, e-mails, text messages, and cards from family and friends. Thanks everyone! I got some great presents from my mom & dad, sisters, and Jeff! It was reallly nice since when I go shopping now I am usually looking for Karlee.

I accidently left the cupcake on the coffe table. When we got home from dinner Karlee got into it without us knowing. She was being really quiet so Jeff went over to see what she was doing. Sure enough she was enjoying some yummy frosting. I don't think she is going to have any problems eating her cake on her birthday in a couple of months.
