Oregon Trip

Jeff's family had a family reunion on the Oregon Coast last week. We flew to Portland and then drove to the beach to enjoy a few days of relaxing and visiting with family. The weather was so nice and everyone had a great time!
While we were there we visited the Tillamook Cheese Factory. It was pretty cool to see where the cheese we eat is made.

Farmer Karson and his cow Karlee:)

We sampled some cheese and then stayed to eat lunch.

Then we ate some yummy Tillamook icecream. Karson sure enjoyed that!

We went down to the beach a few different times. Karlee was so excited to go to a beach for the first time. The water was really cold but she didn't mind too much.

The first few times we set Karson down on the sand he wasn't a fan. He just didn't know what to think of sand and all that water.

Karlee loved the water, the sand, and looking for shells.

I got in about up to my ankles and that was good for me. I am used to the warm Atlantic Ocean from growing up and this water was too cold in my opinion.

The view from our house was so pretty.

Grandma and Grandpa Vocana with their 8 grandkids starting with baby Liam all the way up to 11 year old Jaxon.

Jeff and I

Karlee got in a little bit with her swimsuit on and Jeff and his brothers went all the way in.

The last day Karson just warmed up to the idea of standing on the sand.

We went to Jeff's parent's house for a couple of hours before heading to the beach and before heading to the airport on Sunday so Karlee got to feed the donkey that lives right by them.

It just so happened that our good friends the Barbers who live in Salt Lake were visiting Nick's parents the same weekend. We were able to meet up with them right before heading to the airport and got to see their darling little boy Cashe again.

It was good to get away for a few days and enjoy some cooler weather. Jeff, his dad and brothers got to go deep sea fishing, the girls got to do a little shopping and the kids loved spending time with their cousins. It was a fun little summer vacation.

Locks of Love

I have been growing my hair out for a long time. After it was a couple inches past my shoulders I started thinking that I should grow it out long enough so I could donate it. I always thought that would be cool. So last time I got my hair done my friend Cynthia, who does my hair, said I should probably about have enough to cut it off. I was a little nervous to do it but I have had short hair before and I was ready for a change!

10 inches of hair ready to send in to help a child suffering with a hair loss
After my haircut!
Karlee thinks I look funny but I told her she will get used to it. My hair grows fast so before I know it I will need it cut again. I'm so glad I did though. It is a good feeling getting rid of the hair and knowing I am helping someone at the same time.

Aubrey visits

Aubrey came to Vegas last week since she had the whole week off work. We had fun going swimming, baking, making some crafts, and playing with the kids!

Check out this cute 4th of July wreath that we made!

On another note, Karson is walking all over the place now! He is so cute walking around everywhere because he is so little.
