7 Months

Karson turned 7 months on Christmas Eve. He got his first tooth last week! He has been scooting around for a couple of weeks. He wants to crawl but can't quite figure it out. I finally started giving him fruit and he actually prefers his veggies.

An Early Christmas

We just got back from a week in Missouri with my family for an early Christmas. Karson went on his first plane ride. Jeff stayed home so I flew with the kids by myself. They actually did really well both ways.
The week was filled with lots of activites and the kids getting spoiled rotten. We went bowling one day.
We took Karlee to a discovery museum. They had all kinds of cool stuff for kids to do.

The kids got lots of attention from Aunt Ashley and Aubrey.

My mom made a gingerbread house with Karlee.
We took the kids swimming at my parent's gym.

We opened lots of presents! I had to check a box on the way home because everything wouldn't fit in the suitcases.
Karlee and Karson got to go see Santa at my Dad's work party. They both seemed to like him.

The week went by really fast and we had a great time!

6 Months

Karson turned 6 months old last week! I can't believe a half of a year has gone by since he was born. He went to the doctor today and weighed 15 lbs. 4 oz. and is 26 in. tall. He is such a sweet and happy boy! This is one of my favorite ages of a baby. He has such a cute personality, he sits up by himself, he smiles all the time, is a good eater and is still a great sleeper.
He is usually a happy boy!

He grew up so fast and is doing things that make him seem like he is not a baby anymore.

What a sweet face!
Karlee likes playing with him a little more and he loves her (unless she does something mean to him which happens every now and then)

Over Thanksgiving Karson got his first haircut.
He did great and is so handsome now.
Daddy reading books to the kids before bed. We need to start him young if he is ever going to catch up with Karlee.

Totnastics

Karlee and her friend Heidi did a four week class at the community center called totnastics. It is the only thing offered for two years olds. After watching them in class I know why they don't start classes until three. The girls just wanted to run around but they sure had fun.
Jumping on the trampoline.
Karlee doing her summersault.
Swinging on the bar.

Halloween

Karlee has wanted to be Minnie Mouse for Halloween ever since her Mickey birthday party in June. Since she wanted to be Minnie I thought it would be so cute if Karson was Mickey. Karlee got to wear her costume 4 different times this week and loved it every time. Karson on the other hand didn't look so thrilled.

Karlee got so much candy!

5 Months

Karson turned 5 months yesterday! He is getting cuter and more fun everyday. He smiles all the time and is getting more of a personality. He likes his rice cereal now and yesterday we gave him some peas. We love our little man!!

Karson is starting to really like Karlee. He thinks she is so funny. I love laughter from a baby!

The Lions

A few months ago Karlee started saying there were lions in our house. If she was downstairs by herself or in a room by herself she would sometimes come out and say the lions are coming. (I have no idea where this came from.) We decided to take her to the MGM Grand and show her that lions are nice and friendly. We went a couple of weeks ago and we got there about 5 minutes after they left for the night and she was disappointed. So we went back today.
There were 3 little baby lions today but they were asleep most of the time, as was Karson. (he missed out again) Did you know lions sleep 18-20 hours a day?
Karlee was happy she got to see them and we are hoping she won't be scared of any lions anymore. I told her that is one thing that you really don't need to worry about!

Last Week

For playgroup last week the kids went to a pumpkin place that is open during the month of October.

They had a few animals you could pet.

Karlee liked the slide.
She loved the big swings!
It rained on Sunday for about 5 minutes and Karlee had to go grab her umbrella (that is not even meant for outside) and go play in the rain. She doesn't see rain very much so this was exciting.
Karson's first time in the rain.
Karson is getting big way too fast! We realized last week that he can stand at this little table for several seconds by himself.

Salt Lake

Last weekend Jeff's parents were in Salt Lake so we drove up to see them and his brother Kyle's family. I have several friends in Salt Lake too so I love going and seeing them as well. Unfortunately we were only able to go for a couple of days so I didn't get to see everyone that I wanted to:(
I was so excited when I found out that Karlee's friend Cohen (who moved away a couple of months ago) was going to be there visiting his grandparents the same weekend. We met up and they were so happy to see each other!
We got to stay with our good friends Nick and Lindsi. We love catching up with them and spending time together. They are expecting their first baby in January and we are so excited for them! Karlee loved their dogs too. :)

Abby and Braden are Nick and Lindsi's neice and nephew that live with them. Karlee thought they were pretty cool.

I got to meet up with my friend Carrie for lunch. We were roommates in college and are still friends. We just wish we saw each other more often.

Karlee loved playing with her cousins. They played outside together and we went bowling one of the days. Karlee and Ellie are a few months apart and got along great.

Grandma and Grandpa Vocana love getting to see their grandkids. Too bad we don't get to see them very often. Jeff's grandma also got to come from Idaho and meet Karson for the first time.
