Karlee's Dance Recital

Karlee had her Christmas dance recital last night.  She did such a good job! Karlee loves to dance!!

She has been taking with her friend Eva.  They both have loved going to dance every Tuesday together.

4 Months

On the 29th of November Kyler turned 4 months!  He is getting so big! We are pretty sure that he is going to be our chunky baby.  He is at least 14 lbs which is big for our babies. He is wearing some 6 month clothes too. The kids love making him smile and giggle. He is pretty happy most of the time.  He started playing with toys this month so the kids are always giving him something to play with.  I just wish he wouldn't grow up so fast.

Thanksgiving

Like always we went to St. George for Thanksgiving.  It was good food and good company! The kids had a blast and it was great seeing family we haven't seen for awhile.

This is my Grandma and Grandpa Mathis.  Jeff and I have gone to their house for Thanksgiving every year since we have been married and I have been going a few year before that.  It has been a blessing having them close since our families are so far away.

This was Kyler's 1st Thanksgiving and 1st time leaving town.  I think he liked it because someone was holding him most of the time!

Halloween 2012

I always say it but Halloween goes on forever!  It is good in a way because the kids love it and they get to wear their costumes a few times. This year the kids were all animals and oh so cute:)

We asked Karson what he wanted to be and he said a cow! We found this cute cow costume at Target but didn't know if he would wear it.  When he knew that wearing it meant candy he was all about the cow costume.

Little Kyler was a monkey a couple times and a dog (Karlee's old costume) on Halloween.

We went to the promenade in our community one afternoon and saw friends and got lots of candy.

This was the candy the kids got at the promenade and our ward trunk-or-treat before Halloween!  How ridiculous is that?

Halloween night I took the older two kids around the neighborhood while Jeff stayed home to answer our door and try to get rid of some candy.

We took the kids to the pumpkin patch a couple days before Halloween because they had really wanted to go.

Karson's favorite thing was the little train.

Karlee loved the animals and Karson did too from far away.

Karlee also loved the swings.

 

I think the kids had a fun Halloween and they sure got lots of candy!

3 Months!

Kyler turned 3 months yesterday!  He is such a happy and smiley baby:) He is starting to stay awake a lot more during the day but is doing great sleeping at night. He loves laying on Jeff and I and would take all his naps on us if we would let him.  He started this last week trying to giggle a little.  Sure love our little guy!

My Grandparents and cousin came down from St. George this month to meet Kyler and see the kids.

Karlee had her first primary program on Oct 21st. She did great singing.  She even sang a duet with another little boy.  They sang the 2nd verse to Jesus Wants Me for a Sunbeam.

Enjoying Fall

Aubrey had a few days off work so she got a ride down here with some friends that were headed to California.  It worked out great because she didn't have to drive herself and we got to hang out with her for the weekend. We decided to go down to the Bellagio because it had been awhile since we had done that.  It was all decorated for fall which was so pretty.  The kids loved watching the dancing waters outside too.

On Saturday we went to Gilcrease Orchard to pick some pumpkins.

After we found our pumpkins we promised Karson we would get some apple cider donuts that they had.  He loves anything sweet so that made him happy!

2 Months

On September 29th Kyler turned 2 months old.  I just hate how fast babies grow but we are loving that he smiles at us now and he is more alert and aware. 

Kyler spent a lot of the month sleeping!  We can't believe that he still sleeps so much.  If he is awake for an hour he is ready for a nap.  It does make it nice so that I can get some things done though.

We gave Kyler a bottle for the first time last month.  Karlee was so excited to give it to him because babies are suppose to have bottles and he had never had one:)

The little guy is getting chunky!  I put all his newborn clothes away a couple weeks ago:(  He wears 0-3 month or 3 month stuff. He weighed 11 lbs 12 oz at his 2 month check-up. 

He started sleeping through the night a couple weeks ago. Yay!  I usually feed him about 8:30 or 9:00 and he will sleep for at least 8 hours.  That has been nice! He still likes to be swaddled and I think that helps him stay asleep for so long.

Kyler smiles all the time and it is so cute! If you look at him and smile he will usually smile back.

The kids just love their brother and are constantly in his face.  Karlee likes to get him to smile and she loves holding him. She is good at putting his binky back in when it falls out.

Karson is so gentle with Kyler.  He usually asks to hold him a couple times a day for about 10 seconds and then says Mama done.

One day Jeff had come home from work and was playing with Kyler on the floor.  I came back in the room and they were both passed out on the floor. Ha ha!

 

So far Kyler has been a pretty easy baby so it has been nice.  I try to take the time everyday to just sit and hold him because I know the cuddle stage doesn't last long and I love it.
