Fall/Halloween

I have had a couple people ask why I haven't updated the blog.  I actually was thinking of not blogging anymore because I wasn't sure if anyone even read it (besides family) but I like doing it for myself.  It helps when I make family books at the end of the year to already have everything laid out. The main reason I haven't posted for awhile is just because both our computers decided to give us problems about the same time and it just takes forever to upload pictures and actually do a post. If you follow me on instagram I post quite often on there and you already know what we have been doing. Anyway, here are several pictures from October.

Karson had a preschool field trip to the pumpkin patch.

Kyler wasn't sure what to think of this little guy that was just smaller than him:)

Karlee was sad she didn't get to go on his field trip so we went one night to a different pumpkin patch.

The kids each picked out a pumpkin and we painted them one night.  I thought it would be easier than carving but it turned out super messy. One of the kids got paint on the couch which was not good. They loved it though!

Doesn't quite have the paint thing down:)

We made pumpkin sugar cookies one afternoon.  Another messy but fun activity!

This was the first year I didn't put much thought into the costumes.  It wasn't as cute as the kids wearing matching/themed costumes but it was actually pretty nice.  Karlee borrowed a witch dress but she was super cute! She got to wear her costume to school and we spray painted her hair green.

Karson loves firemen and always talks about being one when he gets big.  We found this costume at Costco and I knew it would be perfect for him.  He was the cutest little fireman I have seen! He had a Halloween party and parade at preschool on Halloween.

Miss Janitsy and his class.

He just loved every minute of his party.

We had the trunk-or-treat at church and went out Halloween night. The kids got lots of candy!

Kyler wore Karson's old crab costume.  He wasn't sure about the whole thing but when it came time to get candy he was all about it! He wouldn't let go of his bucket:)

Karson's little buddy Crew was a fireman too.

A mean old witch and her cat!

 Going out trick-or-treating

The kids had a fun month! It certainly didn't feel like fall with the 90 degree temperatures we had but Halloween is always fun with the little ones!!

Parents & Aubrey Visit

In the middle of September my parents came out to visit for a week.  Aubrey was able to work it out to come for most of the time as well. The kids sure loved every minute of them being here!
We went swimming a couple times.

We went mini golfing one night.

We went to the beach one afternoon and stopped off at Cafe Rio since that is my mom's favorite.

The kids played lots of games with Grandma.

We went for a few walks.

Enjoyed the beautiful weather outside.

Played at the park.

We also did a little shopping, the boys went and hit some golf balls, baked a little, ate too much and enjoyed spending time together. Grandma got to got eat lunch with Karlee at school and see Karson's preschool as well. The kids loved all the attention from everyone.  It was sad to see them leave:( but what a fun trip!

Karlee's in Kindergarten!

Karlee started Kindergarten on Wednesday!  She was so excited to start school and so ready!! I'm not sure that I was ready but I know it will be so good for her. She has an amazing teacher, who happens to be in our ward. I know she will have a wonderful year!
The night before school she got her backpack, supplies, and lunchbox all ready!

Here she is on the 1st day! Luckily I got to go with her that day so it made it easier for her and me:) We both had a fun day of learning about her new classroom and a little about the school.

The second day was a little harder since she had to go by herself.  She got in line and as she walked into the class we both got a little teary eyed.  She is in great hands though and she already loves Mrs. Kaas!
