March 2014

It rained on March 1st and this was a big deal for Southern California.  Living in Vegas and then So Cal our kids have really not seen rain (or snow) that many times in their life. Our backyard flooded a little and the kids just had to go play in it.

Silly kiddos

Karson and Kyler before church one day.  They are best buds!

Karlee had dress like a story book character and she chose Pinkalicious!

Kyler really wanted to go potty like his brother and sister. I let him try even though I knew he was way too young.  Karson sat down with him and read him a book while he tried. He didn't go but it sure made for a cute picture.

Karlee made a leprechaun trap so her and her classmates could catch a leprechaun on St. Patrick's Day!

The kids love to help me bake.  It usually means more work for me and a bigger mess but I do want them to learn how to cook and to help in the kitchen.

St. Patrick's Day

I got to go to Time Out for Women this year with some friends in Long Beach.  It was such an inspirational day filled with great speakers and singing by Hilary Weaks.

The kids had spring break at the end of March.  We went to the beach one day and enjoyed Cafe Rio and frozen yogurt with friends.

Karlee thought it would be funny to take some Halloween makeup and decorate her and her brother's faces one day.  They thought it was pretty funny too!

February 2014 continued

Karlee had the 100th day of school in February!  She made a poster with 100 things.

On the actual 100th day the kids could dress like a 100 year old person.  I put baby powder in her hair to turn it gray and dressed her in old lady clothes. It was fun!

We made Valentine's for Karlee and Karson's classes. They both had parties and brought home tons of Valentine's from their classmates.

The kids on Valentine's Day!

We went to the 99cent store one day and the kids begged to ride this little horse carousal.  For that 30 seconds they looked like they were having the best time. It was so silly but I want to remember these moments of pure joy!

February 2014

At the end of January Jeff was told at work that his company was going to be expanding up north (about 6 hours away) and they asked him if he would want to move up there.  At first I said no way!  We had only been in southern Cali for a year.  We had made friends and liked where we were.  It was hard enough to move from Vegas.  Anyway, Jeff told me the company would pay for us to go up to Tracy (an hour from San Francisco) and we could see what the area looked like and make a decision after that.  So that's what we did the 1st weekend in February.  We drove around Tracy and looked at the town but it is hard to tell if you like a place just by driving around a little. We also drove to San Francisco for a day and enjoyed walking around and site seeing.  It was a good little trip even though I was thinking about the possibility of moving the whole time.

There is lots to see in San Fran.  There were some crazy people!

The kids love staying in a hotel and think its so fun!

January 2014

It's a miracle but I decided to do a blog post. I love instagram and just ordered some books so I have a hard copy of all the pictures I have posted but I have missed posting on the blog.  I feel like it will be hard for me to make our family book this year since I haven't been blogging. I think I will try to do some quick catch up of this year and then get back into it.  We will see if it really happens!

JANUARY

Karson became a Sunbeam! He was the only boy in his class but he had some cute little girls.  It was fun having him and Karlee in primary since I was the primary chorister.

Grandpa and Grandma Vocana came to visit for a few days (this is the problem of my break from blogging. I know I took more pictures of their visit but I need to find them). The kids loved playing with them. We did go to Tom's Farm and the kids got to ride a few rides and we ate at a pizza place there for lunch.

Karlee and Karson got to ride a horse which they thought was pretty cool.

Jeff got a 1000 piece puzzle for Christmas that he worked on for a couple weeks.

At the end of January Ashley came out to visit for a few days. The kids loved having her.  We went to the beach one day and Karlee got to skip school.  Her visit went by fast!
