Christmas in Missouri

Karlee and I just got back from our almost two week trip to Missouri. (Jeff came for about 4 days.) I was really nervous to fly with her by myself but she did great. We had such a good time hanging out with my family. Karlee had fun being passed around and spoiled by everyone. We are glad to be home and back in our own bed/crib though.

My sisters and brothers...Zach, Ashley, Aubrey, me, Karlee, Jordan, and Emma (Ashley's dog).
Aunt Aubrey and Aunt Ashley. They spoil Karlee like crazy!!Uncle Z.
Uncle J.
Karlee helping Daddy open a present. She loved the paper and ribbon more than the gifts inside.

She is too cute in her Christmas PJs.
Karlee and Emma got along great.

We hate living so far away from family but it was so fun to go home and be together for Christmas!

Winter Wonderland in Vegas!

Yesterday it snowed a ton! We got to enjoy it all day and the best part is today the sky is blue and the snow will be melted soon.

Jeff even made a little snowman the size of Karlee.

Ho, Ho, Ho!

Karlee met Santa at our ward Christmas party the other night. She was so excited...
Then she sat on his lap and didn't know what to think of the strange guy holding her.

What A Week!!

I had this really great idea that after Thanksgiving I would drive up to Salt Lake with my sister Aubrey and stay for the week. We were already going to Salt Lake the next weekend for our niece Ellie's blessing. I am so happy I got to see lots of friends and family while I was there because that made up for everything else during the week. Aubrey, me, and Karlee left Sunday afternoon. With traffic, construction, stopping to feed Karlee, and stopping again to let Karlee have a break from the carseat I think it took us about 8 hours to get to Aubrey's house. Since Karlee slept most of the way she was wide awake until 12:30 that night. That was just the start of her not sleeping well all week. I was up many times every night I was there. (I am not used to this anymore b/c she has been sleeping through the night for months.) I won't go into everything else but let's just say I got two flat tires (both on different days) while I was there. I am so happy my brother and father in law were able to help. Overall it was a fun week but boy were we glad to see Jeff come on Friday night and he was so excited to see Karlee too.

This is Karlee catching up on some sleep that she was missing during the nights.

We went to Temple Square and looked at the lights. It was freezing but so pretty!
This is my friend Carrie. We were roommates in college for 3 years.

My friend and also old roommate Sheryl came to Temple Square with us. You can totally tell Karlee is a Vegas baby. All the other babies were all wrapped up in their coats and hats and poor Karlee had a jacket on with my gloves.

We took Karlee to see the elves at Gardner Village and met up with another friend Melissa.

Me and my little best friend. Jeff says we are attached at the hip. It was so nice having help from Aubrey since Jeff wasn't around and she loves attention.

The whole reason we came to Salt Lake was to go to Ellie's blessing. This is her with her two older sisters Sophie and Maya.

Saturday night Jeff and I stayed at our good friend's Nick and Lindsi's house. They just moved into a beautiful house and it was so fun to stay with them and catch up.

While we were there we celebrated Christmas early with Jeff's family. This is Karlee opening her very first Christams present. She liked the paper more than the gifts.

I am glad I could go but so happy to be home. Now I leave in a week to go visit my family in Missouri for Christmas. I am just hoping the plane ride and the stay at my parent's house is less eventful than this past week.

Thanksgiving

Every year for Thanksgiving we go to St. George to my Grandparent's house because mine and Jeff's families live too far away. This was Karlee's first time leaving Las Vegas. She did great because she got so much attention.

While we were there Karlee got her first haircut. My aunt Malea does hair out of her house so she trimmed up those long bangs she had. At first I thought she looked like a boy afterwards but it is SO much better than before.

This is Karlee with some of my cousins.( Shaylee, Abby, and Andrew)

This was everyone at Thanksgiving dinner. My grandma makes the best food. It was nice to be with family eventhough my parents, sister, and brothers weren't there.

I Can't Believe...

3 years ago today Jeff and I were married in the St. George Temple. The time has gone by so fast. The last 3 years have been great and we look forward to many more years to come.

Karlee is also 5 months old today! I really can't believe that. She is growing way too fast. I miss her being so small but I love her little personality. She is so sweet and just loves to smile and giggle. She loves for mommy to hold her but I guess it's okay becaues I love holding her. She is such a doll and the light of our life!

We gave Karlee cereal for the first time today. You can tell by the pictures that she didn't think it was that great.

My friend Sheryl was driving from Utah to Arizona and she stopped in Vegas to hang out with us for a few days.
After we gave Karlee a bath the other night, I gave Jeff one job to brush her hair and this is what she looked like afterward

Happy Halloween!!

Last night we took Karlee to the Trunk or Treat at our church. I have put her in her costume a few different times and she has cried everytime. For some reason she liked it last night. We think our little puppy is so cute!

By about 7:00 she was done. Her costume was so nice and warm it just put her to sleep. You gotta love Halloween in Vegas...85 degrees.

4 Months

Karlee is now 4 months old. She smiles all the time. We love that.
She had to go to the doctor yesterday and get more shots. She looks so sad but we both did a lot better this time. She only cried for a second and I didn't at all:)
Her new thing is sucking her toes. Yum!

She is starting to grab everything. She wants to put anything and everything in her mouth. The doctor said she can start cereal now. I was just reading that babies should be twice their birth weight or at least 13 pounds before you start food. She is not quite there yet but close. We just can't believe how fast time goes by.

Fun Week

Last weekend our good friends Nick and Lindsi came down from Salt Lake to stay with us. It was really fun to see them and they got to meet Karlee for the first time.

Then on Tuesday my sister flew down from Salt Lake to visit. She had a few days off of work and was missing Karlee so it worked out for her to come.

We took Karlee for a walk every morning. She loves her stroller.

We went out to eat one night, went to Town Square and did a little shopping, and made a yummy dessert. Then felt sick after eating it.

Mostly we just played with Karlee. She hates tummy time but we are trying to get her to roll over.
