What A Week!!

I had this really great idea that after Thanksgiving I would drive up to Salt Lake with my sister Aubrey and stay for the week. We were already going to Salt Lake the next weekend for our niece Ellie's blessing. I am so happy I got to see lots of friends and family while I was there because that made up for everything else during the week. Aubrey, me, and Karlee left Sunday afternoon. With traffic, construction, stopping to feed Karlee, and stopping again to let Karlee have a break from the carseat I think it took us about 8 hours to get to Aubrey's house. Since Karlee slept most of the way she was wide awake until 12:30 that night. That was just the start of her not sleeping well all week. I was up many times every night I was there. (I am not used to this anymore b/c she has been sleeping through the night for months.) I won't go into everything else but let's just say I got two flat tires (both on different days) while I was there. I am so happy my brother and father in law were able to help. Overall it was a fun week but boy were we glad to see Jeff come on Friday night and he was so excited to see Karlee too.

This is Karlee catching up on some sleep that she was missing during the nights.

We went to Temple Square and looked at the lights. It was freezing but so pretty!
This is my friend Carrie. We were roommates in college for 3 years.

My friend and also old roommate Sheryl came to Temple Square with us. You can totally tell Karlee is a Vegas baby. All the other babies were all wrapped up in their coats and hats and poor Karlee had a jacket on with my gloves.

We took Karlee to see the elves at Gardner Village and met up with another friend Melissa.

Me and my little best friend. Jeff says we are attached at the hip. It was so nice having help from Aubrey since Jeff wasn't around and she loves attention.

The whole reason we came to Salt Lake was to go to Ellie's blessing. This is her with her two older sisters Sophie and Maya.

Saturday night Jeff and I stayed at our good friend's Nick and Lindsi's house. They just moved into a beautiful house and it was so fun to stay with them and catch up.

While we were there we celebrated Christmas early with Jeff's family. This is Karlee opening her very first Christams present. She liked the paper more than the gifts.

I am glad I could go but so happy to be home. Now I leave in a week to go visit my family in Missouri for Christmas. I am just hoping the plane ride and the stay at my parent's house is less eventful than this past week.
