When Aubrey and I heard that The Little Mermaid was coming to Tuacahn this summer we knew we had to take Karlee. It was really the first movie that Karlee ever watched and she loves it. She can quote several parts of the movie and Ariel is her favorite princess. Since my cousin Eric was getting married in St. George it was the perfect weekend to go see the show. On Friday we drove up to St. George and dropped Karson off at my Aunt Malea's house so she and her kids could watch him while we went to the play.

Karlee was so excited just because it was The Little Mermaid but didn't really know what to expect since she didn't even know what a play was before we went. I thought she might be a little young but I knew that this would be our only opportunity to take her

She thought it was pretty cool she could put her face in this picture and be Ariel:)

Karlee absolutely loved, loved, loved the show!! Aubrey, Jeff, and I did as well. It was put together so well and was such a great performance. Karlee sat through the whole show eventhough it went until 11:30. She sang along to the songs, clapped, and danced in her seat. She was so excited when the characters would come on stage. It was fun watching her enjoy the show. She has even asked a few times if we can go again. After the show we got to meet a few of the performers. She loves Scuttle in the movie and did in the play as well.

She was a little nervous to go meet Sebastian because he has claws. Obviously she doen't get that these people are playing characters and they are not real:)

We thought the line to see Ariel would be way too long but we saw her and Eric come out together and we ran over there. Karlee of course wanted Ariel to hold her. I'm so glad we took Karlee to the show. It was so fun for her and something she will be talking about for a long time.

On Saturday we went over to my Uncle Dave's house and had lunch, then went to the wedding, followed by the reception. It was good to see some of my extended family.

We tried taking a few family pictures but it was so hot outside that the kids wanted nothing to do with that.

You can see the kids cheeks are pretty rosy. An August wedding in St. George equals hot! We were all pretty worn out that night but it was a good day.

How cute is he?

On Sunday we took the kids over to the temple since it is only 2 blocks from my grandparent's house. We wanted them to see where mommy and daddy got married.

Karlee wanted to go up to the top.

She made it:)
On the way home we were able to stop by and see our friends the Monroe's who used to live in Vegas. Karlee got to play with their little girl Amy who she just loves. It was a nice weekend that went by so fast. It was even nicer that we only had a two hour drive home and we gained an hour.
